About the event

What kind of event is AnimeJapan?
AnimeJapan is an event that aims to connect anime and its related contents to different type of audience, from anime fans to business clients.
When do you hold the event?
The schedule for AnimeJapan 2017 is as follows.
Main Area: March 25 [Sat] – 26 [Sun] 10:00-17:00, 2017
Business Area: March 23 [Thu] 11:00-18:00 – March 24 [Fri] 10:00-17:00, 2017
※Please bear in mind that the opening days of the Business Area differ from last year's event.
Where is the venue?
Please come to Tokyo Big Sight .
Main Area: East Exhibition Hall, East Hall 1~7
Business Area: Conference Tower 1F, Reception Hall
※Sister Event "Family Anime Festa 2017" is held in East Exhibition Hall 8.
What is the difference between Main Area and Business Area?
Main Area presents entertainment programs such as RED / GREEN / BLUE Stage, Food Park, Cosplayer's World, and exhibition booths. Not only that, it is going to hold business seminars for attendees with business purposes as well.
Business Area is for business/professional purposes who wish to meet the area's exhibitors, learning the latest of anime/contents industry. In order to enter the Business Area, "Business Registration" is required.
How crowded will it be at the venue during the event?
It depends on situations and we are unable to predict at this point.
Is the venue going to be crowded?
Depending on situations, inside the venue may be crowded.
Are we allowed to eat/drink inside the venue?
Please use the food court inside the venue.
You can also eat and drink at the resting space inside the venue.
Are there going to be more products in exhibition?
Any change or addition in the exhibition will be updated on the official website.

What are the nearest stations from the venue?
To get to the venue, it takes about 7 minutes walk from Kokusai Tenjijo Station (Rinkai Line) and 3 minutes from Kokusai Tenjijo Seimon Station (Yurikamome Line).

Parking lot is available. Please be advised that there is limit to the number of parking spaces.

What types of tickets are available?

Fast Tickets are also available for entry from 9:30 (You still need to purchase an admission ticket).

This ticket lets you apply for the lottery of RED / GREEN / BLUE Stage and Open Stage programs. If you wish to view the stages, you must purchase the tickets and apply.

Price: ¥1,800 (tax included) for each day
※Elementary school students and under are also required to purchase these tickets to apply.

This ticket is a regular ticket without lottery of RGB and Open Stages.
Sales period: February 20 [Mon] 2017, from 0:00 - March 24 [Fri] 2017, 23:59
Price: ¥1,800 (tax included) for each day

Where do I purchase the admission tickets?
You may purchase tickets via CN PlayGuide / Family Mart (Fami Port) / Animate.

Can I purchase tickets by phone?
You may purchase from CN PlayGuide.
As for advanced tickets (with stage-view lottery), only on December 16 [Fri], they will be available for purchase via 0570-08-9911 (9:00-23:59 automatic guidance). After that day, you can purchase by 0570-08-9999 (10:00-18:00 operator service).

Can I enter the venue both days with one entrance ticket?
Tickets are valid only for the day they are issued.
If you wish to enter the venue for both days, please purchase tickets for both days (2 in total).
Is there a limit to the number of tickets available for purchase?
Tickets are available while supplies last.
Is there a limit to the number of tickets available per purchase?
There is no limit.
Can I enter Business Area by regular admission ticket?
No, you cannot enter. “Business Visitor registration” is required to enter Business area.
In order to enter the Business Area, "business registration" is required.
Can I get a ticket from overseas?
This year, tickets have been made available for purchase oveaseas.

About the Admission

Am I allowed to re-enter?
You are allowed to re-enter during the event day.
*It might take some time to re-enter depending on crowd situation.
How may hours will it take for admission?
It depends on the situation during the day. We are unable to predict at this point.
Are there security checks at the admission gate?
We are not sure at this point. Depending on situations, we may place security checks without notice.
Is there exclusive gates if I accompany my kids?
AnimeJapan 2017 does not have an exclusive admission gate.
Our sister event "Family Anime Festa 2017" has its own admission gate. Children under elementary school age and their guardians can enter.
Is discount or free admission service for disability?
We do not offer discount for admission.
Is there special admission gate for disabled?
All attendees are supposed to go through the same admission process.
For attendees who need assistance, we recommend you to accompany a person who can assist them.
Can I enter in a wheelchair?
Yes, you can. The venue has wheelchair-accessible restrooms and elevators.
You are also welcomed to ask staff members for assisting entrance and exit.
Are pets allowed inside?
We are afraid no pets are allowed for entry except for assistance dogs.
Am I allowed to wait over-night?
We do not allow over-night waiting due to security reasons.
What is Fast Ticket?
Fast Ticket let you enter the venue. Please see the number on your ticket for admission.
Please be advised that you also need to have admission ticket to enter the venue.

How do I view RED / GREEN / BLUE Stage Program?
RGB Stage, Open Stage(Front seats) Program requires advance application.
Firstly, you need to purchase admission ticket with stage-viewing lottery. Then, you must apply for a stage program that you want to watch.
[Sales Period: December 16 [Fri] 2016 – February 19 [Sun] 2017]
※As for Open Stage, advance application is required for the front seats.
※At the exhibitors' booth, please follow their own rules when seeing their stage program.
Does Open Stage require advance application?
Application is required only for the front seats (About 300 seats) in the viewing space of Open Stage.
To secure those seats, (just like RGB Stages) please purchase admission ticket with "stage-view lottery" and apply for the stages you wish to watch.
Standing-view in the back is allowed but please be advised that we may have to decline due to space issues. We apologize for inconvenience.
Are we allowed to shoot photo/video in the venue?
As for video/photo shoot policy at the exhibitor booths, it is up to their regulations. Please follow their advice.
All stage programs prohibit shooting.
When taking video/photo of cosplayers and other individuals, you are required to explain them your purpose and ask for their permission.
Press registration is required for press coverage.
Are there any places where children can have fun?
For children and their guardians, we are holding "Family Anime Festa 2017", a family/kids-only convention.
※Admission is limited to children at elementary school or under and their guardians.

About Business Area

What can I do in the Business Area?
Business area is exclusive area for visitors whose purpose is business talk with AnimeJapan exhibitors and collecting anime contents information for business.
The purposes of this area are exhibitions about anime business and business talk.
When do you open the event?
Business Area: March 23 (Thu) 11:00-18:00 – 24 (Fri) 10:00-17:00 , 2017
※Reception will open 30 minutes before the admission starts, at the Business Reception of the venue.
Is Business admission free? / How much is the admission for Business Area?
Admission for Business Area only: Free
Admission for Business as well as Main Area: ¥1,800 advanced / ¥2,200 door ticket
※You must register first.
※The opening days of Business and Main Area differ. Please be careful.
How do I go to Business Area?
You need to register for [business registration].
Please start registering from here on the EventRegist.

※When you drop in to the Business Area (for both 3/23,24), you will still need to register first.

Yes, you can. If, however, you are also entering the Main Area as well, you will be charged ¥2,200 (tax included) for registration.
Therefore we recommend you to register in advance by March 17.

How do we apply for making a meeting appointment with business exhibitors?
You can either make an appointment with the exhibitors in advance or please head to their booth during the event.
Administrative Office will not share their contact information in public.
Are there meeting rooms that are free of charge?
You can use the free table inside the Business Area.
Please be advised that there is limit to the number of available tables. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are students and starting up our business now. / We are starting to work for anime industry this April. Are we allowed to enter the Business Area?

About Family Anime Festa 2017

What is Family Anime Festa?
It is an event targeting families/kids featuring anime and characters for children.
Admission is limited only to elementary school children and their guardians.
When does the event start?
It runs on March 25 [Sat] - 26 [Sun] 10:00-17:00 (Last admission is 16:30) 2017.
※It is a sister event to AnimeJapan 2017.
※You cannot use the Fast Ticket of AnimeJapan 2017 to enter.
How much is the admission fee?
Admission is free (There is no need to purchase tickets).
However, you must accompany a child from elementary school or under.
※For children above elementary school age to enter AnimeJapan from Family Anime Festa 2017, an event ticket is required.
Is there an exclusive entrance?
Family Anime Festa 2017 has its own exclusive gate for admission.
※The admission is limited to children from elementary school and under as well as their guardians.
Can I enter the venue with a stroller?
You, you may enter the venue with a stroller.
Please understand the venue will be crowded on the day of the event. There will be a place to leave your stroller in the venue.
※No rental service for strollers are available.
How crowded will the event be?
It depends on the day. We are unable to give an estimate at this time.
Are we allowed to eat/drink inside the venue?
There is a food court in the venue. Please utilize this area.
You can also use the resting area inside the venue to eat or drink.
Is there any diaper changing table?
We are going to implement one inside the area.
Is there any nursing room for babies?

You may run your exhibition booth in "Main Area" (for regular attendees and partial business attendees) and "Business Area" (for business attendees only).
"Family Anime Festa 2017" is also available targeting families and their kids.

What can I do by running an exhibition?
In the Main Area, you can display, sell, and hold events in the booth to promote your products.
In the Business Area, you can display products and have business meetings to seek for business opportunities.
In the Family Anime Festa, you can display, sell, and hold events in the booth to promote your products targeting families and children.

Can companies from different industries run their exhibitions?
The exhibition is available for companies/organizations that could contribute to Japan's business and animation culture in general.
Contents on display must be related to animation culture including videogames and comics.
Certain types of contents may be declined to exhibit or asked to change.
※Both domestic and overseas companies are allowed to exhibition as long as they fulfil the requirements.
※Some industries, exhibition purposes, and contents may be denied entry. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Can I run my personal exhibition?
Business Area is opened to individuals.
※please note that you application may be rejected depending on business types, contents & purposes of your exhibition.

Can we use our food truck for exhibition?
We are afraid but food companies are not allowed to run an exhibition in AnimeJapan.

What kind of attendees are coming?
Main Area is opened for anime fans, businesspeople from anime industry, and other professionals are estimated to come (You will be charged for admission).
Business Area only allows business/professional attendees from anime and other industries.
Can we run our exhibition only in one area among Main/Business/Family?
Yes, you can.
※Application for exhibition is closed on November 18.
Can I have a business meeting in Main Area?
Although there is no business meeting space prepared in Main Area, you can have a meeting in your own booth.
However, please be advised that it may not be the best business environment due to crowds and sound issues.
If you wish to focus on business meetings, we encourage you to apply for Business Area exhibition.

If we run the exhibition in both Main & Business Area, is there any status upgrade?
If you are to run your booth in Main Area and Business Area, there are some discounts for your Business Area charge.
