  • What kind of event is AnimeJapan?
    AnimeJapan is an event that aims to connect anime and its related contents to different type of audience, from anime fans to business clients.
  • When do you open the event?
    The schedule for AnimeJapan 2016 is as below.
    Main Area: March 26 – 27, 2016
    Business Area: March 25 – 26, 2016
    NOTE: You need to register for “business entrance” in order to enter the business area. It is only opened to the visitors with business purposes.
  • What is the difference between the main area and the business area?
    Main Area is all about entertainment. Its main contents are as below.
    • Company booths, RGB Stages, Food Park, Cosplayer World, Creation Area, other entertainment programs.
    Business Area is strictly for business purpose only such as... learning the latest trends in anime industry, meeting exhibitors for the future business.
  • Where is the venue?
    Please come to Tokyo Big Sight .
    Main Area: East Exhibition Hall, East Hall 1~6
    Business Area: Conference Tower 1F, Reception Hall
  • What time do you start?
    Both in the main area and business area, we are planning to open 10am-5pm.
    NOTE: The entrance deadline is 4:30pm.

  • What are the nearest stations from the venue?

    There is a parking lot at Tokyo Big Sight and its nearby area.

    NOTE: Be advised that there will be a massive crowd during the event. We recommend you to take public transportations.

About entrance to Main Area

  • Do I need a ticket to enter the main area?
    People over 13 years of age are required to purchase admission tickets.
    NOTE: If you want to enter the RGB Stage Program, you must purchase admission ticket with stage-viewing lottery to apply for the program.
  • When and where do I get the ticket?
    Ticket with stage viewing lottery: December 18(Fri), 2015
    Ticket without stage viewing lottery: February 2016
  • How much does the entrance cost?
    Advance ticket: \1,600 for over 13 years old
    Walk-up ticket: \2,000 for over 13 years old
    NOTE:
    - We offer both types of tickets free of charge to people under the elementary school students.
    - The price of the ticket with stage-viewing lottery is \1,600 (including for elementary school students)
    - Entrance for the events in Red/Green/Blue Stage Program requires application prior to the event. Click here for details.
    - Entrance for business area requires registration (free) prior to the event. It is only limited to the visitors with business purpose.
  • Can I enter for both days with one ticket?
    Each ticket is only valid for one day. If you would like to enter for both times, you need to purchase tickets for each.
  • How many tickets are on sale for this event?
    Tickets will be on sale while supplies last.
  • Can I get a ticket from overseas?
    We do not sell tickets overseas. Please come to purchase walk-up ones. We apologize for the inconvenience.
  • Would there be a long entry line?
    It depends but we are expecting a large crowd during the event.
  • Is there any entrance restriction?
    No. But we might have to keep you wait in line depending on the situation.
  • Am I supposed to wait in line outside?
    Yes. The entrance queue goes outside.
  • Am I allowed to wait over-night?
    We do not allow over-night waiting due to security reasons.
  • Am I allowed to re-enter?
    Yes. You are allowed for re-entry as long as you keep your ticket for the day.
    NOTE: It might take some time to re-enter depending on crowd situation.
  • Can I enter in a wheelchair?
    Yes, you can. The venue has wheelchair-accessible restrooms and elevators.
    You are also welcomed to ask staff members for assisting entrance and exit.
  • Are pets allowed inside?
    We are afraid no pets are allowed for entry except for assistance dogs.

  • Can I buy any items in the venue?

  • How do I view RED / GREEN / BLUE Stage Program?
    RGB Stage Program requires advance application.
    Firstly, you need to purchase admission ticket with stage-viewing lottery. Then, you must apply for a stage program that you want to watch. [Sales Period: December 18 [Fri] 2015 – February 21 [Sun] 2016]
    NOTE:
    - Please follow the rule by each exhibiter at their own booths’ stage program.
  • How do I participate in creator workshops?
    Some creator workshops (in Creation Stage) require you to submit and pass our suggested assignment, prior to the event.
    Each workshop has different regulations and assignments. For more details, we will follow up in our website.
  • Are we allowed to shoot photo/video in the venue?
    For videos and photographs an event fir familes and their children, please follow the rule by each exhibiter. When photo/video shooting cosplayers and other visitors, you must explain your purpose and ask for their permission. Please be advised that NO shooting to stage programs is allowed.
    NOTE: Press personals are required to register prior to the event.
  • Are there any places where children can have fun?
    We have Family Anime Festa an event fot familes and their children (East Exhibition Hal 6F). It is an area only allowed for children and their parents so they can have fun.
    NOTE: Entrance to the Family Anime Festa 2016 is only limited to children younger than junior high school age.

About Business Visiting

  • How do I go to business area?
    You need to register for [business registration].
    Please start registering from the website here . Registration period: December 18 [Fri] 2015 – March 18 [Fri] 2016 / No more registration is accepted after March 19 [Sat] 2016
    This area is limited to those who visit for business purposes such as meeting with exhibiters and gathering information.
    NOTE: Students and people in the process of opening business are not accepted.
  • Can I register on-site?
    Yes, you can. However, it may take longer than advance registration.
  • What kind on area is Business area?
    Business area is exclusive area for visitors whose purpose is business talk with AnimeJapan exhibitors and collecting anime contents information for business. The purposes of this area are exhibitions about anime business and business talk.
  • Can I enter Business area by general admission ticket?
    No, you cannot enter. “Business Visitor registration” is required to enter Business area.
  • How do I participate into seminar stage? Do I need to register?
    No registration is required for seminar stage.
    The program is opened to the public.
    We will follow up with further details in our website later.
    *please note that the stage may close if the number of audience exceeds the available space.
    *Seminar Stage is setup in Main Area. You will need charged-registration in order to enter Main Area.

About Exhibition

The exhibition application was closed on November 13th, 2015.

  • Could you tell us about displaying in AnimeJapan?
    We open booth for AnimeJapan for corporations/organizations involved in Anime and Anime-related business. Individual creators are welcomed to run their booth in business area.
    NOTE: Please understand that your application for display is subject to be cancelled depending on your contents and intentions.

    In the “main area,” where both ordinary and business visitors are allowed to access, you can display, sell, and run events for your targeted audience to promote your products.
    In the “business area,” opened only to business visitors, you will have chances to setup meeting and displays that would lead to expanding your business.

    Although you are welcomed to display in either of the areas, you will get a partial discount with business area if you run a booth in both areas.
  • What area are we allowed to exhibit?
    You have 3 options below.
    - Main Area
    An area for mostly regular and some business attendees
    - Business Area
    An area for business attendees only
    - Family Anime Festa
    An event only for families and their children
  • What are we allowed to do in our exhibition?
    - Main Area
    Promotion, sales, events, etc that will help promoting your products.
    - Business Area
    Showcasing and business meetings that help your future business.
    - Family Anime Festa
    Promotion, sales, events for children and their families.
  • Can any company/individual run their exhibition?
    A company/organization involved in Japan’s animation culture/industry is allowed to run their exhibition. Business, however, allows exhibition for individual creators.
    *please note that you application may be rejected depending on business types, contents & purposes of your exhibition.
  • Can I run my personal exhibition?
    Business Area is opened to individuals.
    * please note that you application may be rejected depending on business types, contents & purposes of your exhibition.
  • If we run the exhibition in both Main & Business Area, is there any status upgrade?
    If you are to run your booth in Main Area and Business Area, there are some discounts for your Business Area charge.
  • Can I have a business talk in main area?
    We are afraid that there is no business meeting place in Main Area. However, you can carry out business talk in your own booth.
    If your primary goal for exhibition is business, we recommend you to run your exhibition in Business Area.
  • Are we allowed to showcase adult-themed/matured contents materials?
    No X-rated contents are allowed in the exhibition.
    We open business registration from December 18 [Fri] 2015 to March 18 [Fri] in here. You can also register on-site during the event as well.

About Press

  • How do we apply for press coverage?
    Press registration will begin in February 2016.
    We will announce the detail later in the website.
    NOTE:
    - You are responsible of getting permission to photo/video shoot children from their parents.
    Please be especially careful inside Family Anime Festa venue.
  • We want to cover the exhibition and stage programs to publish.
    Please ask exhibiters and stage program organizers for their permission.
    The contact information of RGB Stage presenter will be provided if you ask for.
  • Can I cover in the venue at the day without advanced application?
    It takes time for the procedure and guidance for special camera when you come to the venue directly to cover without advance application. I am sorry to trouble you, but please apply in advance.

About Family Anime Festa

  • What is Family Anime Festa?
    As a collaborative event with AnimeJapan 2016, on March 26 (Sat) and 27 (Sun) East Hall 6 will host family-only event named "Family Anime Festa 2016." 
    Admission is free for kids under the age 12 and their guardians. Please go through its main gate.

  • What kind of things are in Family Anime Festa?
    There are anime contents intended for kids and families.
    Contents detail will be announced later in the website.

About Child Acampany

  • How much is the admission fee?
    Admission for AnimeJapan 2016 free for children under the age 12.
    Admission for Family Anime Festa is also free for those children (as well as their guardians). *no admission ticket required for the Family Anime Festa 2016.
  • Is there any exclusive entrance?
    There is a family exclusive entrance to enter Family anime festa directly.
  • Can I enter the venue with buggy?
    Yes, you can enter the venue with buggy. Please pay attention because the venue will be crowded on the day.
    Buggy place will be arranged in Family anime festa 2016.
  • Is there any buggy rental?
    I am sorry but there is not any rental buggy.
  • Is there any diaper changing table?
    There are baby seats in ladies’ room of East Exhibition Halls 1-6.
    Also, it will be arranged in Family anime festa 2016.
  • Is there any nursing room for baby?
    It will be arranged in Family anime festa 2016.
