What is the nearest station from the venue?: Kokusai Tenji-jo Station (Rinkai Line) is 7 minute walk, and Kokusai Tenji-jo Seimon Station is 3 minute from the venue. Please check the webpage for access to the venue.
Are there parking areas?: Parking lot is available. Please note that there is a limited number of parking space.
Are there baggage cloak services?: Please use baggage cloakroom service at the Big Sight.
Are there disabled parking spots?: There is a parking space but you will have to share with the other attendees.

Admission ticket

What types of tickets are available?: There are following 5 types of tickets.
1. 5th Anniversary Premium Tickets
2. Admission Tickets with Stage Lottery and Ticket Holder
3. Advanced Admission Tickets (with Stage Lottery)
4. Advanced Admission Tickets (without Stage Lottery)
5. On-Site Tickets (without Stage Lottery)
*Please note that each tickets have different sales periods and prices.
*"Fast Ticket" is also available for entry starting 9:30 (regular admission ticket is required at the same time).
What is 5th Anniversary Premium Tickets?: To commemorate the 5th anniversary we will be selling premium tickets that will let you enjoy AnimeJapan 2018 to the fullest. The tickets will be sold to a limited number of 55 people only.
After completing the payment, the winners of the lottery will receive an exchange ticket. The ticket needs to be exchanged at the venue for the special 5th Anniversary Premium Pass.

What is Admission Tickets with Stage Lottery and Ticket Holder?: To commemorate the 5th anniversary we will be selling admission tickets with stage lottery and ticket holder.
*Tickets are first-come-first-serve basis and will be available while supplies last.

What is Advanced Admission Tickets (with Stage Lottery)?: This advance ticket will let you apply for seats at AJ Open Stage lottery.

What is Advanced Admission Tickets (without Stage Lottery)?: It is a regular admission ticket without lottery to apply for getting seats at AJ Open Stage.

Where do I buy the admission tickets?: You can purchase at CN PlayGuide, Family Mart (at Fami Port), Seven Ticket, and animate online store.

Can I purchase tickets by phone call?: You can purchase via CN PlayGuide.
Advance tickets (with stage lottery) can be purchased at 0570-08-9999 (audio guidance / 10:00-18:00 JST).
Can I enter the convention for 2 days straight with 1 ticket?: Admission ticket is valid only for 1 day as printed on the ticket.
If you wish to come for 2 consecutive days, please purchase ticket for each day.
Are there limits for the number of available tickets?: Tickets are available while the supplies last.
Are there limits for the number tickets per purchase?: There are limits depending on ticket types. Please refer to the description of each ticket.
Can I enter Business Area with a regular ticket?: Regular tickets will not let you enter Business Area. You must register for "Business Registration" for admission.
Can tickets be purchased from outside of Japan?: You can purchase tickets from overseas. Click here for more details.

About admission

Can I re-enter the venue?: You may re-enter only during the event day. *Please note that it may take longer depending on the crowd situation.
How long will I wait to enter the venue?: It is difficult to estimate at this point, as it depends on the situation during the day.
Are there security checks at the entrance?: It is currently undecided. Please note that we may carry out security checks without notice.
If I accompany children, will I be able to enter from special gates?: Please note that there are no dedicated gates.
Can attendees with disability get a discount or free admission?: Please note that no specific discounts are available.
Are there special gates for disabled attendees?: Please note that attendees with disability will still enter from the same gate as regular attendees.
If you need assistance, please bring another person to accompany you.
Can I enter via wheelchair?: Yes, you can. There are dedicated restrooms and elevators inside the venue.
Please talk to nearest staff members for assistance when entering/leaving the venue.
Are pets allowed to enter?: Pets are not allowed in the venue (service dogs are eligible).
Are we allowed to stay overnight to wait for door opening?: For the safety of underage citizens and security issues, overnight waiting is strictly prohibited.
Please tell us about fast tickets.: Fast tickets let you enter the venue in order of reference number. Please note that you still need admission ticket with you.

About Main Area

How do Main Area and Business Area differ?: Main Area is an entertainment section where regular fans and business attendees can enjoy, with exhibition booths, AJ Open Stage, Food Park, Cosplayer's World, and several business seminars.
Business Area is a venue in which business meetings and information gathering take place for commercial purposes. In order to enter Business Area, "Business Registration" is required.

Is there going to be more exhibition works coming up?: Any changes or additional works will be updated on the official website at a later date.
Can we purchase goods at the venue?: Content of the sales items are updates on the website.

How do I get a seat at AJ Open Stage?: Advance application is necessary in order to get a seat at Open Stage.

Only applicants who are selected can get seats.
Can I photo/video shoot at the venue?: At the exhibition booths, please ask for each exhibitor for their permission and follow their instructions.
When shooting cosplayers and other regular attendees, you must explain them your purpose and gain permission.
Please note that secret photo/video shooting will be regarded as crime.
If you wish to cover the event as press members, you must register for press coverage.
How heavily crowded is the venue going to be during the event?: It is difficult to estimate at this point, as it depends on the situation during the day.
Can we eat and drink inside the venue?: There are food areas in the venue for attendees.
You can also eat and drinking at resting spaces inside the venue.
Are there child-friendly areas?: For children and guardians to enjoy a secure environment, "Family Anime Festa" is open for family/kids attendees.
*Admission is limited to children at elementary school age and under, as well as their guardians.

About Business Area

What exactly is Business Area for?: Business Area is a venue for business meetings in purpose of expanding anime industry, in which regular attendees are not eligible to enter. Business Registration is required for admission.
*Students and startups are also not eligible.
When is this convention held?: Business Area operates starting from March 22 [Thu] at 10:00 to March 23 [Fri] at 17:00.
*Reception desk will open 30 minutes prior to the venue's opening.
Is Business Area free to enter? / How much do you charge for admission?: Business Area only: Free admission
Business Area and Main Area: \1,800 for advanced / \2,200 for at-door registration.
*Both free and paid admission requires registration prior to entering.
How do I apply for Business Registration?: Registration Period: December 16 [Fri] 2017 - March 17 [Fri] 2018
How to Register: Please go to EventRegist service via AJ official website.
*Registration (free/paid) is open during the Business Area days (Mar 22 & 23)

Is Business Registration available at door during the event?: You can register at door during the event. However, we recommend you to register prior to the event if you wish to enter Main Area as well, since at-door registration that includes Main Area will cost \2,200 (incl. tax).

I would like to have opportunities for meeting/matching with business exhibitors. How do I apply for it?: Please make an appointment with each business exhibitor previously or go directly to their booths during the event.
Please note that administrative office will not disclose exhibitors contact information.
Are there business meeting rooms available for free?: Business Area is equipped with tables and chairs for free business meetings.
However, kindly note that spaces are limited and you may not get seated depending on situations.
I am a student (planning to open my business). Can I enter Business Area? I am going to work for anime industry starting this April. Can I enter Business Area?: Attendees must be a working business person only, as the area is for business purposes only.
Students (prospective startups) are declined to enter.

About Family Anime Festa 2018

What kind of event is Family Anime Festa?: Family Anime Festa is an anime convention children/family attendees that features child-targeting anime and characters.
When is this convention held?: The event dates are March 24 [Sat] and 25 [Sun] at 10:00 - 17:00 (Last admission is 16:30)
*Is it a sister-event with AnimeJapan 2018 at the same dates.
*Entering the venue from 9:30 by AnimeJapan 2018 fast ticket will not be accepted.
How much is admission fee?: Family Anime Festa is admission free (No specific tickets are necessary to enter the venue).
However, accompanying children is required for admission.
*Entering AnimeJapan from Family Anime Festa requires admission ticket, if you are over middle school age.
Are there specific entrance gates?: Family Anime Festa 2018 has its family-only admission gate for direct entering.
*Admission is limited to children that are elementary school age and under, and their guardians.
Can strollers enter the venue?: Yes, they can. Please be careful, however, when moving around the venue as it will be heavily crowded. There are stroller parking areas inside the venue. *No rental strollers are available.

Can we eat and drink inside the venue?: There are food areas in the venue for attendees.

What areas can we run our exhibition?: There are 1) Main Area where regular attendees and business attendees can enter, and 2) Business Area in which only business attendees are allowed to go in.
There is also Family Anime Festa, an event limited to children and their families.

What can we exactly do by running an exhibition?: In the Main Area, you can promote your company's products by displays, sales, and events inside the booth to regular attendees.
In the Business Area, you can carry out displays and meetings that lead to future businesses.
Family Anime Festa allows you to promote your children/family targeting products at the booth by displays, sales, or events.

Are all industries allowed to apply?: Exhibition is limited to entities that promote animation culture in general as well as Japanese industries.
Exhibition content is limited to those related to animation culture, including videogames and comics.
Please note that certain content may be asked to change or declined regardless of timing, depending on the content.
*Both domestic and foreign entities are allowed to apply, as long as they meet the exhibition criteria.

I would like to apply for my personal exhibition.: You can run your own booth only in Business Area.

What kind of attendees are there in the venue?: In the Main Area, you would expect regular attendees who are mainly anime fans, as well as those from the industry and corporate members (In principle, both regular and business attendees are charged for admission in this area).
In the Business Area, only members of the anime and other industries can enter.
Can I choose only one place from Main Area, Business Area, or Family Anime Festa to run our exhibition?: Yes, you can.

Are we allowed to have business meetings in the Main Area?: While business meeting spaces are not prepared in the Main Area, you may have a meeting inside your own booth.
However, we do not encourage business activities in this area, as there are a number of regular attendees and stage events happening nearby.
If your purpose is strictly for businesses, we suggest you to choose Business Area.

How do we cover AnimeJapan in our media?: Please fill out the requirements via "Press Contact". Our representative will be in charge.
How do we apply for the press coverage during the event?: To apply for press coverage at both Main and Business Area, press registration will start on Friday, February 16, 2018.

*As for coverage on AJ Open Stage, please be sure to complete your registration by March 9 [Fri].
*When covering preschool age children, you must ask for a permission from their guardians (Please be especially careful inside the Family Anime Festa venue).
How do I cover the exhibition booths, AJ Open Stage areas on our media?: At the exhibition booths (Main & Business Area) and AJ Open Stage, each exhibitor and stage organizer is responsible for permission.
Please confirm with target exhibitors/stage organizers prior to covering/shooting and follow their instructions.
