The workshop style course will be held with invited creators who are related to the theme of director, character design, script, art, and planning.
Precious seminar styled experience corner that can be advised directory from famous experts who are active in the front lines.
NOTE: If you prefer to reserve seats in this workshop, you need to register in advance.

Content This is an animator workshop hosted by Kyoji Asano, a character designer and animation director. The main theme here is PSYCHO-PASS. You will have to submit your assignment prior to the workshop and Asano will directly make a correction!

Let's Make a Project-Book for Your Orginal Anime

Instructor Profile CEO & producer from anime planning and production company Odd-Eye Creative.
He was also working for Sunrise until 2011. His works as a producer involves Future GPX Cyber Formula, Gear Fighter Dendoh, Machine Robo Rescue, Crush Gear Turbo, My-Otome, My-HiME, The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, and Phi Brain: Puzzle of God. He is currently working both as planner and producer on the ongoing anime Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons.
Content What mindset do you need to create original characters and stories?
Naotake Furusato has been creating a number of original anime as a producer.
He will lecture “planning,” a very first step in producing story in workshop style! In this seminar you can learn how to write an effective project book and a lot more. Please come join!

Instructor Profile Founded GREEN Co., Ltd. in 1986, Takeshi Waki has involved in a number of animation projects with Sunrise, Bones, and Toei Animation. He was awarded Tokyo Anime Award with the Best Art Direction of Mushishi in 2006.
Content The workshop will be carried out by explaining portfolios submitted by participants.
Also, the instructor will go over what it anime art fundamentally is by showcasing his past works.

How to write for an anime script that sells: Yo-Kai Watch and Aikatsu!

Instructor Profile Youichi Kato is a Japanese screenwriter born in 1979. Kato’s early career started as a broadcasting writer involved in “Zoom in!! SUPER,” one of the top famous morning shows in Japan. He, then, switched his goal towards scenario writing for animation. As a story editor, Kato is well-known for a number of blockbusters such as Yo-Kai Watch, Aikatsu!, and Space Brothers.
Content What are some of the most important mindsets when writing for anime?
In this workshop, Youichi Kato, a story editor of Yo-Kai Watch and Aikatsu!, will perform his screenwriting skill sets that create major blockbusters.

3DCG Animation Workshop Presented by Polygon Pictures, the Creator of Transformers: Prime and Knights of Sidonia.

Instructor Minoru Okamoto
Instructor Profile Minoru Okamoto is a Japanese animator who is involved in the making of Castle in the Sky and Uchūsen Sagittarius. Okamoto entered Polygon Pictures in 1997 where he later works as a 3DCG animation supervisor with productions including Tron: Uprising and Transformers: Prime.
Content In this workshop, your task is to create 3DCG animation with text-based storyboards provided. Your complete work will receive feedbacks from Minoru Okamoto, one of the leading animators from Polygon Pictures, in regards to how 3DCG production should be carried out.
This workshop is relatively challenging. However, if you are eager to learn specialized animation skills in 3DCG or you simply have a belief in your talent, take this chance!

Sword Art Online: Storyboard Workshop

Instructor Profile Tomohiko Ito worked as an assistant director in The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars. In 2010, he made his direction début in Occult Academy, followed by Sword Art Online and Silver Spoon.
Content You will create your own storyboards, using a scenario part from Sword Art Online that is not visualized. The main topic for this workshop is going to be based on the assignment that you submit.
