Please tell me what the public area is.
The public area is an area for anime fans to enjoy AJ stage, official merchandise, and the Cosplayer's World as well as exhibitor booths.
I would like to know the details of the exhibition booths.

Can I line up overnight to wait for the venue door to open?
For protection of minors and safety, lining up overnight is not permitted.
Will you stream AJ stage online?

Can I watch the AJ Stage programs with my admission ticket?
Admission Tickets with stage lottery are not available for purchase outside of Japan.
Watching the AJ Stages from reserved seats requires purchasing an Admission Ticket with stage lottery through CN Playguide or Animate and winning in the stage lottery. Click here for further details.
Are photography and video recording (or video streaming) permitted in the venue?
・Exhibition Booth: It depends on each exhibitor. Please follow their rules.
・AJ Stage: No photography or recording.
・Photography of individual visitors including cosplayers: Make sure to explain the purposes of photography or recording to the person and obtain his/her approval. Photography or video recording without permission is a crime.
*Posting images on social media is allowed. However, AnimeJapan assumes no responsibility for any trouble between companies and individuals caused by such actions.
*If you wish to visit AnimeJapan 2023 as a press, advance press registration is required. The registration form will be available on the official website on Monday, February 20th.
I lost something...
Please contact the information desk (in front of East Hall 5) in the venue for lost property. After AnimeJapan 2023, please contact Tokyo Big Sight since all lost items will be delivered to the Tokyo Big Sight Disaster Prevention Center. If you find a lost item, please bring it to the information desk.
Can I trade my items that I purchased?
There is no designated trading area. We may ask you to stop trading or move away from the location if your action causes trouble to other visitors, such as sitting on the floor in the venue.
*Giving and receiving money, resale, etc., are prohibited. If we find such actions, we will ask you to leave the AnimeJapan venue. You will not be able to re-enter. Also, we may report such non-compliant actions to the police.

Admission tickets are required for children aged 13 and older.
Free admission for children under 12 years old, only if they are accompanied by their guardian aged 18 or older.
One guardian is required for one child eligible for free admission.

Do you give discounts to those with special needs? Can those with special needs enter for free?
There are no discounts.
Does a person accompanying disabled person or a wheelchair attendant need an admission ticket?
Attendants also need an admission ticket.

About admission
Can I line up overnight to wait for the venue door to open?
For protection of minors and safety, lining up overnight is not permitted.
Is re-entry allowed?
Only same day re-entry is allowed. *Re-entry may take time depending on how congested the venue is.
How long will I need to wait to enter the venue?
It depends on the situation on the day, so we cannot tell right now.
Please arrive at the venue well in advance.
Do you have security checks at the entrance gate?
We will conduct security checks for the safety of visitors. Prohibited items are as follows:

Bringing hazardous objects and items that can be used as a weapon into the venue is not allowed.
① Guns
② Sharp objects (scissors, box cutters, knives) (5.5cm or longer) *Scissors and razors with blades shorter than 5.5cm are excluded.
③ Poisons, drugs, and other harmful substances
④ Firearms (smoke canisters, fireworks, etc.), smoke canisters, firecrackers, fireworks, explosives, gunpowder, flares, oils, inflammables, other hazardous objects, any types of gunpowder, and any other items that can generate fire, smoke or noise using gunpowder
⑤ Items that can be used as a weapon such as hammers, screwdrivers, chains, ice picks, and awls, etc.
*The following items are excluded:
□Those that are made of materials that pose no risk to others such as paper and soft plastic, and with their lengths no more than 50cm
⑥ Alcohol (including alcoholic drinks) *Alcohol sprays that are 100ml or less are excluded.
⑦ Psyllium penlights that are 30cm or longer, customized guide lights with enhanced light intensity or over-the-counter guide lights with a similar intensity, and other lighting devices and illuminants
⑧ Other items that the organizer judges dangerous *For plastic bottles and containers that contain liquid, we might check the contents.
Can children under 12 enter the venue alone?
No.
They must visit the venue with their guardian aged 18 or older.
One guardian is required for one child eligible for free admission.

Do you have a designated entrance gate for people with special needs?
We will ask visitors with special needs to visit the venue in the same way as other visitors.
Those who have special needs requiring an attendant must visit the venue with his/her attendant.
Attendants also need an admission ticket.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Wheelchair access is possible. However, there are no dedicated wheelchair routes/entrance, so wheelchair users are asked to use the same routes as other visitors. Those who have special needs requiring an attendant must visit the venue with his/her attendant.
Please note that the venue may be very crowded. The venue is fully equipped with wheelchair-accessible restrooms and elevators.
Please let us know if you need assistance from our staff members. We will provide assistance as long as it does not interfere with our normal operation.
If you have special needs requiring an attendant, please ensure your attendant accompanies you during your visit.

Can I visit the venue with my pets?
No.

We may check your guide dog or service dog certificate before entry.

About AJ Stage
What is AJ stage?
AJ stage means events held at three stages in the venue: RED, GREEN and BLUE.
If you wish to see an AJ stage event in the venue, you need to purchase an admission ticket with stage lottery entry application code and make an application for the stage event you want to see.
Admission Tickets with stage lottery are not available for purchase outside of Japan.
*Standing area will be available for the BLUE STAGE.
How do I apply to win a ticket for stage events?
Applying for the Stage Lottery is available only for Admission Tickets with stage lottery that can be purchase only through CN Playguide and Animate.

Can I screencapture or record the streamed videos and sounds?
All contents streamed during AnimeJapan 2023 are subject to the laws and regulations including the copyright law and may not be used for any commercial or personal use.
Unauthorized posting, streaming or sharing on social media or video sites are not allowed.
If we find such actions, we will ask for immediate withdrawal and may take legal action against malicious cases.

Entering the venue in your costume or changing your clothes in the public area are not allowed since it may disturb other visitors.
Do you sell merchandise in the venue?
Details on the merchandise will be updated on the official website from time to time.
Please contact each exhibitor about the merchandise sold at their exhibition booth.
We also plan to sell merchandise that was designed in collaboration with various animes to celebrate the tenth anniversary of AnimeJapan. The details will be disclosed in early March.

The payment method may vary depending on the exhibition booth.
AnimeJapan encourages participants to use cashless payment, but some booths may only accept cash.

Please note that we may restrict entry to the venue depending on the situation on the day.
Can I eat or drink in the venue?

About Business Day Online

Is there an in-person event for the Business Area?
This is an online event only. Please note that we will not be holding a in-person event.
What is the Business Area (online)?
This is a place to conduct business negotiations for the development of the animation industry.
General visitors are not allowed to enter. Business visitor registration is required.
*Students and people who are planning to start their own businesses are not allowed to enter.
Is business registration free?
The registration fee for the business area (online) is 11,000 yen (tax included).
Admission is available for two days.
What is the business registration period?
Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:00 am - Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 4:30 pm.
I am a student. Can I register and enter the Business Area (online)?
We are sorry, but since we are focusing on business meetings, we are only targeting those who are currently in business.
We do not allow students to register or enter, including those who are thinking of starting their own business or who have already started working in the animation industry in April.

About media coverage
