Preventive measures against COVID‑19

We seek your understanding regarding our measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and ask for your cooperation as follows. Please note that failure to cooperate may result in denial of admission.

Additional Information and Changes Made on March 13

Following the announcement that the Japanese government lifted regulations on speaking in loud voices at events on January 27 and eased the face mask guidelines on March 13, AnimeJapan 2023 has added the following measures:

【About Attending AnimeJapan 2023】
Wearing a face mask is recommended.
AnimeJapan staff members will not approach visitors regardless of whether a face mask is worn or not.

【Mask Rules at Exhibitions】
Each exhibitor has their own mask rules at the booth and for staff members. Check each booth's mask rules when visiting.

AnimeJapan organizers are required to wear face masks to ensure the safety of visitors and themselves.

Please read the following “Request for Cooperation” as well to enjoy AnimeJapan 2023.

Request for your cooperation

  • ■We will take your temperature when you enter the venue, and those whose temperature is 37.5℃ or higher will not be allowed to enter.
    *Please wear a mask when you attend the event.

  • ■Please refrain from attending the event in the following cases:
    ・Your temperature is higher than the normal temperature (e.g., 1°C above the normal temperature or temperature of 37.5°C or higher)
    ・You have symptoms such as cough, difficulty in breathing, general malaise, sore throat, nasal discharge/nasal congestion, taste/smell disorder, joint/muscle pain, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, etc.
    ・You have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19
    ・You have a family member living with you, or a person at work, school, etc. who is or may be infected with COVID-19 within 5 days of your scheduled visit

    Additional Information and Changes Made on March 13

    ・If you test positive for COVID-19 or if you have been in close contact with someone with COVID, follow the guidelines of your local government and decide on your own whether you will attend or not.
  • ■Please wash your hands, disinfect your fingers, and practice good coughing etiquette.
  • ■Staff and related personnel are requested to wear masks, disinfect their hands and fingers, take their temperature before starting work, and take good care of their health.
  • ■ Ventilation has been reinforced through such measures as ventilation with air conditioning, and opening of entrances and exits.
  • ■For the sake of the health and safety of the performers, waiting for performers to enter or leave is strictly prohibited.
  • ■In the event that the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, administrative agencies, or local governments request for self-restraint in holding events, the event may be postponed or canceled. Even in the absence of such a request, the event may still be postponed or canceled, or the event contents may be changed based on a comprehensive assessment of the spread of COVID-19 infection.
